Best Toyota Vehicles for Grads

Tackle the world in the Corolla or RAV4

Whether your grad just finished high school or college, a new Toyota model can help them tackle the road ahead. A new vehicle offers a great way to explore the world, cultivate responsibility, commute to work, and more.

Here's what we recommend for your new grads:

2018 Toyota Corolla

The 2018 Toyota Corolla is perfect for young drivers due to its compact size, safety features, and suite of technologies. Parents can rest easy knowing that Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P) now comes standard on all trims. Drivers will benefit from a host of available safety features, including stability and traction control, anti-lock brakes, rearview camera, pedestrian detection, and lane departure warning.

The 2018 Corolla is powered by two versions of a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. In all but the LE trims, power output is 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. LE Eco models employ a slightly more powerful version of the same engine that also maximizes fuel economy, delivering 140 hp and 126 lb-ft of torque. While fuel economy varies from trim to trim, most SE models equipped with the manual transmission earn 30 mpg combined (27 city/35 highway), and most CVT models achieve 32 mpg combined (28 city/36 highway).*

Inside, you'll find a host of available tech features like integrated Bluetooth® technology, advanced voice recognition and steering wheel controls, Smart Key System, and the Entune™ Audio Plus with Connected Navigation App. With the Toyota Corolla, your grad can go anywhere in safety and style.

2018 Toyota RAV4

If your grad would prefer the extra room of a larger SUV, take a look at the 2018 Toyota RAV4. Choose from either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder DOHC (Double Overhead Cam) engine that produces 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque with an EPA-estimated mileage of 23/30 mpg (city/highway), or—if your grad is more environmentally conscious—opt for the hybrid engine, which increases power to 194 hp and achieves 34 mpg in the city.* Rest assured that no matter what they choose, your grad will enjoy their Toyota.

Apart from providing great performance options, the Toyota RAV4 continues its reputation as one of the most versatile and appealing compact SUVs around. Like the Corolla, it comes with standard Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P), welcoming safety additions such as adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane keeping assist. Other notable features include dual-seat climate control and heated seats, six speakers, a touchscreen panel display featuring the Entune® App Suite, and Siri® integration.

The driver assistance features on the Toyota RAV4 will keep your grad (and their passengers) safe, connected, and entertained, no matter where the road may lead.
